ABOUT Thurrock Camera Club
Hello my name is Paul Taylor, Chairman of the Club.
We pride ourselves on being a welcomming and friendly Club. Whatever Camera you use, even if it's just a mobile phone, you will be welcome.
As well as being a meeting place for like minded people, we strive to improve our Photographic skills through Lectures, Training Presentations and Judged Competitions. If you are new to Photography please don't be daunted by this. Competitions are not mandatory but we do have two sections anyway Beginners and Advanced.

I have been a member of the Club since 1980 and have held the position of Chairman for 21 years
As well as those items mentioned before, we have outings to places like London for street photography, Wildlife Parks and Photographic Studios where you get the opportunity to take images of Professional Models under Studio Strobe Lighting.
We are hoping to have our own Studio set up soon at Cowdry Hall for Model Shoot evenings

We have a Training program for anyone new to Photography and if you want to graduate from mobile phone snaps, we can help with not just training, but offer advice on Cameras, Lens, and how to do this on a budget if required. Apart from your personal trainer we will offer a Mentor who will help you integrate into the Club, make friends and answer any questions you have.
I am ably assisted in the running of the Club by Sue Hughes, the Club Secreatary and a Committe comprised of members who hold down specific roles in the Club, like Print Officer ( Who Manages and runs the Print competitions).
